Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I was wondering what names do people use to describe their girls "bits"?

At the moment dd is 22 months and I just call it her bottom. But I want to be as honest with her as possible. And I want to use a name that sounds realistic.

Any ideas?

Just to help you out til tomorrow when more mumsnetters will be awake to help, here is the old thread on bits that I remember.

thanks for that expatkat, I think either minnie, or wee wee sounds good. I don't want to give it a silly name.

So glad I have boys so they just have willies! We have this discussion a lot in our Mums' group - 3 boys and 2 girls. I think they both call them their girly bits.
Saw the Vagina Monolgues last week - they had lots of names for them!!

WedgiesMum · 31/03/2004 21:12

It's fairy in our family, and has been for years

We call it a fanny, as that's what it was already called at their cousins. Bit rude I thought but as no-one will ever hear it...until DS brought it out triumphantly during a visit to her speech therapist...

dilly

busybee123 · 01/04/2004 16:09

We call it a 'petal'.

motherinferior · 01/04/2004 16:25

Fanny.

dd is Francesca - am dreading her school nickname...

I asked a friend when 3-year-old son was asking about girls' willies and she said they called it a wendy which sort of made sense as being not rude and a bit like willy but not so good if they know any wendies...

hana · 01/04/2004 16:48

dd (2.6) calls it her bum bum - to differentiate from her real 'bum'. Came up with that herself!
