ive been wearing them for 6 years now and have started to have real problems with them since i became pregnant 2 years ago. My eyes seem very dry and become red when wearing them and i also seem to be suffering with headaches. Ive been told that i have a a viral infection but having not worn them for a a few mths ive still not been able to tolerate them. The optician keeps telling me to wean back into them gradually which i have done but but all the blood vessels in my eye statr to flare up and then i have to give them a rest for a wk or two brfore i begin again. Has anyone else experiened this before? Ive started taking vitamins, eating better and getting earliar nights to try and improve the health of my eyes. If i have a late night or have a few drinks my eyes are very red in the morning even when not wearing lenses.

I was told by my optician that lots of women who wear contact lenses while pregnant have some problems.

He told me not to wear them for too long each day and to wear my glasses as much as possible.

When wearing lenses you have to blink a lot so as to stop lenses from drying out, and to get oxygen to your eyes.

I had some problems a few months ago (not pregnant).

Was told that some people need to change solutions after a while.

I now have one with peroxide in it, that's an all in one cleaner.

I also had to not wear lenses for 48 hours and it really helped.
