Embarrassing problem

Hi. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about this as I am way to embarrassed to go to my GP.

After I go to the toilet (number 2) when I wipe my bottom there is sometimes hair there. Quite a lot. now I no we all have hair around our anus but the hair when I wipe is quite long. I Keep that area quite well shaved if u know what I mean so I am baffled by the long hair when I wipe.

Could I have hair growing internally or something? Sorry this is such a bizarre question but wondered if any of u had any ideas to what it could be?

Unless it's causing you pain/discomfort, why go to GP? Could ask dh/dp to have a look for you...? Get a mirror and assess situation further...?

Could it be hair that you've swallowed?

how do you know? i mean are you checking the paper?
i don't think you could have internal hair no!!!

do you suck on your hair or nibble your hair? could you actually be pooing the hair?

ditto with EmmyLou. Would be interested if you ever find out what is causing this it really is strange as you say.

Do you wash your hair in the shower? Could it be that when you rinse your hair some loose hairs are being washed down your back and get wedged in your bum cleavage? You could try having a quick wipe before you poo for a few days to see if you find hairs.

I can't believe I am replying to this, but bran's probably right. I only wash my hair once a week and find that on that day I always have hair in my knickers! I think it runs down your back and 'lodges' there. If you wash your hair frequently it could look like hair is appearing on a regular basis as if from nowhere!

I think we need to establihs if the hair is in the poo or not.

Why not wipe with a wet wipe before going to the loo, to rule out pre-poo hairwash cross contamination?

Charliecat never thought of my nickname being somewhat well, kind of appropriate for this thread, SORRY alexa1. Bummer originally referred to my life in general and not your bottom of course I know this isn't nice for you alexa1 but on a lighter note hopefully this makes you smile a little!

didn't you also have bleeding from their too? maybe you should see the doctor and put your mind at rest.

I think 'Show of hands' theory could be right. I will continue to monitor.

just to add....i have the same problem.....and i have had a major hairloss problem ever since my son was about 6 months old (he's now 3!) and i am constantly finding hair in my clothes, in my bum (!!), etc...am sure thats the reason....cannot imagine you are either pooing the hair or growing it to such a length in that region.
