I'm very not well

I don't know if it's just a bug or something serious

It's been 24 hrs. Crushing headache, thrown up 46543 times

Can lift my head I'm so dizzy it makes me sick

Do I sleep it off? Phone a dr. Leave it a few days to see if I get better / die?

I'm never ill. I don't know what to do

You need to phone the gp as its not better this morning

larrygrylls · 11/07/2014 09:40

Be careful taking anything with codeine in for any length of time with a headache. It can make the problem much worse and cause 'rebound' headaches. Plain ibuprofen and/or paracetamol are better.

If the headache is not better, I would think it warranted a lumbar puncture and a scan.

Mylovely I'd be back to the gp. Dp didn't have a fever with viral meningitis either.

He had as I said the crushing pain, feeling of pressure and vomiting. He saw the Gp twice who said he had cluster headaches. It was only when he was in sheer agony that I called NHS direct who said to call an ambulance immediately that we realised it was serious.

He was taken to A&E, had a brain MRI followed by a lumbar puncture and viral meningitis was diagnosed.

If you have any doubt, please seek further help today.

With a brain tumor I'm guessing that you'd have additional neurological symptoms too

SublimeCorpse · 11/07/2014 09:47

And agree with larry - codiene can make headaches worse. If ibuprofen and paracetamol aren't helping then speak to the Gp again

Please please phone your GP again this morning. This really does need investigation.

I'd ask to speak to GP on the phone, he can arrange scan etc without you having to drag yourself down to the surgery again.

Please don't put it off, today is Friday and this needs sorting before the weekend.
