Can you have swollen glands without having an infection?

Under my arms , my neck and now my groin glands(?) have been swelling up and are actually quite sore. I have an auto immmune disease but I know there isn't an infection. Is it becausef of the auto immune condition?

It could be but I would go get it checked by the GP as there are myriad reasons for glandular swelling and some of them can be particularly nasty.

I have a rheumatology appointment coming up, I'll mention it then.
