Period type pain after sex...?

Immediately after sex with my boyfriend the other day I had extremely painful period pain (I wasn't on my period). It was extremely painful in that I had to take 2 different types of pain killer.

Has anyone else had this, what could it be?

hi, I've had pain after sex for the last few months. Dr gave me a smear test and swab test which thankfully came back normal.

But as I'm still having pain I've been referred gynecology.

Go see your Dr. Most likely nothing, but could be an infection that needs antibiotics. So best to get checked out.

I used to get this a lot, I was diagnosed with endometriosis after referral to gynaecology.i had treatment and surgery and totally gone away now. Improved also after having first baby. Could be worth looking into.i hope it improves for u.

This happened to me just once many years ago. I did see the doctor because it was outright agony for a few hours. She said it was spasm of the uterus. In my case it was a one off. Thankfully .

Endometriosis can be a cause of such pain and you should be referred to a gynae. This is not the type of issue for a GP to try and treat.
