god I'm.having a panic, can anybone help?

I've got a pain in my lower right hand side. low down, on the right. it's not excruciating but it's always there and has been for almost a month I think. feels weird, aches and twinges.

I went to the doctor and she did a urine test. it showed blood and protein ( not visible) so she sent that off. it's come back negative.

she did an internal and said I had a bulky uterus. she said this could be normal for my age ( I'm 42 and have two children, youngest is 7) and she then prescribed antibiotics - strong ones.

this was on Monday and today I'm no different. she arranged to see me again today and took bloods including ca 125. these will be back tomorrow and she's.going to see if she can refer me for a scan next week. she initially thought infection and now thinks maybe a cyst.

I'm being really stupid but I'm terrified it's cancer. bulky uterus, blood in my wee and this pain. my periods have been all.over the place since February when I had to.have a termination. I bled for weeks on end and wasn't well for ages. I'm Ok now and then this starts!

can.anyone help?

I'm sorry for the typos. this phone is terrible to type on!

I veer between thinking it's ovarian cancer, then kidney cancer and then bowel cancer. I'm obviously an idiot!!

it's affecting my daily life though Sad Sad

Other than blood in urine it does sound like a cyst, that made my cycle go mad and I had similar symptoms to those you describe. I felt really ropey for a couple of months.
Why has your GP given you antiobiotics, is that for a suspected urine infection?
They will see a cyst on a scan so that should make things clearer, I had to wait 6 weeks for mine so you are doing well if you get seen next week.

Handholding here. Your gp sounds very in control. Try not to go to worst case scenario. Really hard I know. Hopefully tomorrow your mind will be put at rest by the blood test. Positive thoughts and vibes. Flowers

I had an ovarian cyst and it made my periods go absolutely haywire and caused a greatly enlarged uterus. Do try not to worry (easily said, I know). It is much more likely to be nothing too dreadful than something totally dreadful. Sending you calming thoughts.
