Blood test results - is 'satisfactory' anything to worry about or not?

My blood test results came back as 'satisfactory' - am I correct in thinking this isn't as good as 'normal' but not as bad as 'doctor needs to discuss them with you'?!

I wiykd take it to mean 'normal' but I imagine it depends what you're being tested for.

my blood tests to check ovulation were marked satisfactory and turned out they were all well within normal range, and one at top of normal range. I think satisfactory means just that, ie they are where they should be. if you are worried make an appointment with the Dr to discuss them. they should then be able to give you more detail of where they are vs where they expect them to be and you can push for further tests if you think its necessary.

You are entitled to ask for a printed copy of any blood results. Ask your surgery for them. Usually they are free but you may be asked for a small fee to cover printing costs. Ensure they include the 'range' for each result so you can see where you result fits into the range.... If you post your results here then I'm sure you will find people willing to translate them for you. I would not rely on 'satisfactory' having seen how many people are misled and their problems not identified as soon as possible.

Thanks, everyone. I think I will try and get a printed copy.

Good advice from Daz

They can't refuse you a print of your results. The Data Protection Act applies and those results, which say what is going on in your blood, are your data.
