Boak, I have toenail fungus, how do I treat and keep pretty feet during summer?

Freaking typical, took off toenail polish and it seems I have some sort of dodgy toenail fungus.

Not a serious case, just a little patch on both big toenails.

What is the best thing to treat it with and can it be something I can use polish over or wear huge plasters so no one can see my shameful toes!

Why couldn't I get this in the bloody winter when my feet do not see the light of day?

There are quite a few products you can buy over the counter. One called Curanail I think it was, had an advertising campaign on TV not that long ago.

The leaflet inside the box will tell you if you can put on nail varnish after applying the product.

When I looked, the stuff you could buy cost around £17 if I remember rightly.

I think that I've seen people advise using Vicks on it on here? (I may have dreamt it.....)

My mums currently using the scholl stuff, you can't wear varnish for 4 weeks Angry

Thanks chaps.

Can't use anything apparently as breastfeeding.

Got to go and have scraping done (bleugh!) and have that sent off before they give me anything.

I treated mine for over a year and just a few weeks of using vicks has made more impact on it
It still needs to grow out but it has cleared up all that horrible flaky stuff and the nail looks much better

Neem oil from Neal's Yard. Fixed both of mine very quickly. Just put it on the nails every morning and leave it to soak in. Completely natural antiseptic, antifungal etc.

You could try surgical spirit after washing - works for athletes foot between the toes, anyway Smile
