Painful arm after gardening: infected?

Was gardening earlier this afternoon and got in, short sleeves, among the bushes to clear ivy mostly. Wore gloves. Now the top of my arm is very painful. One specific area, especially, is very sore to touch. Pain is running down my arm, especially when I twist my lower arm and the specific sore spot is even more painful at that point.

Can't see much to differentiate it from the other arm so I'm wondering if I got it infected. We garden with the use of pesticides etc and I wasn't doing much more than clearing ivy and other weeds from behind bushes.

Could there be a connection? Thinking of having a bath, putting aloe vera/tea tree or similar on and waiting until tomorrow to see if the arm swells or whathaveyou. Any suggestions? This is really uncomfortable. Thanks!

Dunno - I'd probably have an antihistamine in case it's a bite

Sounds like you've been bitten lots of spiders hang out in ivy.
