when will my cycle return to normal..worried now

i dont know if im posting on the right place but here goes...
I had my ds 4 months ago and started taking the pill 3 weeks after he was born. I took it properly for a couple of weeks but was always forgetting to take it which was making me bleed.
I started and stopped agin then about 3-4 weeks ago had a huge bleed then nothing since.
I think these bleeds have been because i stopped taking the pill but wondering how long it should be before i get a proper period??

please tell me you have been using an additional form of contraception as well as the stop/start pill. You can get pregnant again as soon as 6 weeks after delivery, esp if not breast feeding. It took 8 months or so for me to get back to normal after my babies. i never took the pill though.

i was using extra protection while i was stop/starting the pill.
I was ust wondering how long it would take for my cycle to get back to normal
