I have chronically dry eyes due to low thyroid and working working computers and fucking horrible air conditioning. Every day I use eye drops which dont seem to do much and I spend the day blinking and trying not to rub the hot itchy orbs that have replaced my eyes.
So anyway ,this afternoon as I was preparing lunch and cutting up a new cucumber I thought how lovely and cool it was And then I suddenly remembered all those old adverts showing ladies lying back with a slice of cucumber on their eyes. I didnt want to waste a slice so I grabbed a bit of skin I had taken off for artistic purposes and laid that on the worst ey.
O.M.G the relief and cool feeling that single bit of skin gave me. Then I took a couple of whole slices and laid them over both eyes. Im still trying to sort the salad stuff out at this point but cant wait to try it out.
This was several hours ago and I have had lots of some screen time ,driven and been outside in the hot sun. My eyes are still feeling quite fresh.
Well who'd a thunk it .
Im taking some with me to work tomorrow just so I can evangelise .
