Coil help

(my name says it all really)
Tried checking on my coil this morning and couldn't find the threads and I've just got back from the doctors and she also couldn't find them!
She has requested an urgent scan but I'm now petrified about where it could be and also of the possibility that I could be pg!

Don't panic! The threads have probably just migrated up. From my limited knowledge the coil can move but its really, really unusual, so the scan is just to keep everybody happy and should be fine.

A bit p'd off now as just phoned hosp and my urgent app is on the 20th!

well I suppose it is an excuse not to do anything with dh

Thats crap! You could always try going to the family planning centre - say you;re concerned and see if they can speed up the appointment for you? They might even be able to find the strings, as they've sometimes got more experience than the GPs...

I have spoken to my gp and asked her to change the hospital that I have the scan booked at

a) to see if I can get an earlier appointment &
b) I know where the one I want to change to is!!

She didn't seem too worried that it could be 2 weeks before I get a scan
She did have a good look for the threads! (sorry if tmi!)

Phew - thank goodness for that!

I either forget to feel for mine or when I do I can never find them anyway. I have put blind faith in the fact they are supposed to be really really effective and just don't get worried anymore! Am I too laid back?
