Does anyone know if you can pay for a private room at the Royal Free if you're having NHS care?

This is for my MIL, who is having breast surgery.

I see they have a private patient section but it doesn't say whether you can just pay for a room if you're having treatment on the NHS. Can you, does anyone know?

Thank you to anyone who can help

Usually you can pay for a side room on an NHS ward if there is one free. If other patients need it for clinical reasons, they will take priority. It's probably worth her mentioning it at her pre assessment appointment and finding out the policy

Thank you bristols, I'll see if she can do that

Some NHS hospitals have private wards, not sure about the Royal Free though. It is worth asking.

I've just googled and it appears the RF does offer private treatment: www.royalfreeprivatepatients.com/
