Just been referred to both for abnormal igm antibodies, IBS flare up, fatigue and aches.

What will happen and what will they do?

from experience of seeing rheumatologists, they will possibly do some bloods and discuss medication with you to calm down the flare up.

And from experience of gastroenterology they will probably want to do an endoscope and/or a colonoscopy.

You can ask for sedation for these so they aren't as bad as they seem.

It's the igm antibodies I am worried about. Went in thinking I was deficient in iron or b12 but apparently not.

Bunbaker, would they do those, if needed, at a follow on appoinent? Think I would struggle with the down the throat one.

You would see a consultant at the hospital first. You can discuss your concerns with her/him then.
