How long should I wait before getting worried?

Hoping someone can help, it's probably a stupid question but my ds (1 year old next week) has had an evil stomach bug that started on Saturday morning. He last threw up violently on Sunday afternoon (although he also did at his last bf last night, I presume his stomach has shrunk and he was trying to pack away as much as usual even though I could see he didn't fancy it), yesterday he had about 5 big naps instead of the usual 2 and it looks like we are going the same way today. When he is awake he is really lethargic; he tries to crawl along the floor and ends up resting his head on the floor and crying. How long should it take for him to recover? When should I start thinking about talking to doctors? It is just that I had the same bug and was fine after 24 hours... Any help appreciated!

is he taking fluids?

an d are you giving him calpol and nurofen?

If it's a stomach bug, the doctors can't do much. However if he's that bad, I would go and get a medical opinion frankly.

Yes the good news is that he is taking fluids, bfing in small helpings and he even ate a tiny piece of bread yesterday. No I haven't done any Calpol etc since Sunday afternoon when he was screaming constantly, would that help to perk him up do you think?

It was definitely a bug (because I got it, and a friend of mine has it too) but the first 24 hours or so could well have been a reaction to some antibiotics; when I spoke to a night doctor on Saturday they told me not to give him any more because vomiting and diaarhea are known side-effects...
