I hurt my knee two weeks ago, it got to the point last sun where i couldn't walk and i went to casualty, the doctor took one look, tried to bend it and sent me for an x-ray (x-ray was shut so I was left in a wheelchair in the middle of a corridor, when the radiographer did come out she was very abrupt and shirty because they had to wake her to do the x-ray, it came back he took one look and said you can go home it's bruised, that was it.

So, I went to the doctors this morning as my knee is still VERY painful and I cannot sleep on a night because of this (getting comfy etc), after a very detailed and painful examination, my doctor told me I have pulled muscle fibres and torn a collateral ligament.

Doctor has put me through for an emergency assessment and physio. She said I should get an appointment within 2 week and the wait is usually 3 months min.

So much for the casualty doctor say that it was just bruised eh????????

First thing is and you probably don't want to hear this A&E is for purely that, accidents and emergencies as you had hurt your knee 2 weeks previously your injury although I'm sure it was really painful, didn't fall into that category. A lot of A&E's wont see you if if the injury is over 48hr old. Although the radiographer shouldn't have been shirty with you please bear in mind she may have been on call all night and not had any sleep. Lastly your GP is possibly best placed to do this detailed examination, the A&E doctor's priority would have been to assess it for fractures or dislocations. Hope this helps.
