For about 2 weeks now i have had a red itchy rash covering my stomach and chest- any ideas what it could be?

It is very itchy, more so at night, looks like slightly raised red spots in varying sizes.

Also breasts are very sore as well

Totally baffled, haven't had anything like this before

Trying to decide whether or not I need to make a doctors appointment for next week, I really don't like to go unless I have to but equally it is not clearing up and is quite painful at times.

I have no idea - go to your GP!

Wasting- I think it will be okay to wait over the weekend though? So I will call up on Monday and see if I can be fitted in, thanks for replying, nice to know I am not the only one who has no idea what this is

Yes, I'd probably wait until Monday, unless you get worse / any other symptoms.

Have you done the glass test? I do it to all rashes as a matter of course.

Yes same here glass test is matter of course and that was fine so wasn't overly concerned more irritated to start with just a bit concerned that it isn't clearing up- will bite the bullet and call the doctors on Monday then. Thanks again for replying. I guess I could make the most of my apt and mention all those niggly health concerns that I like to ignore! :)

Shingles?

I did wonder about that Polo but I thought you only got that down one side in a distinct pattern and this is all over my stomach, chest and now the top of my legs. I could be wrong- as I said really have no clue.

I wondered about shingles (having just had an attack) but it does usually affect just one nerve in the body (or on the face) and it's usually very painful, although mine wasn't. Defo need to see GP - sounds like it could be an allergy.

Funnily enough, my 7yo Dd has a rash that started off just on her (knickers area) 'triangle' but that went slowly after a week and now she has a similar rash on her bottom cheek and an odd spot on her hand and one on her face that comes and goes. I initially thought chicken pox as they looked a little blistered, but she'd had cp 3 years ago. Does shingles look blistery?

Forget that. Just googled it and I'm not sure. Think GP visit might be in order for her on Monday too.

Yes, I had forgotten it's usually one side. Mine was on one plane of my body ie was in two places on my abdomen but in a line IYSWIM. It wasn't exactly blistered in the way chicken pox is but was raised. Painful and itchy but not horrendous (had mild dose). I think gp only gives the anti-viral if caught early as it's an expensive drug and needs to be taken at first signs. I had it and it really helped though!

Solo- could your DD have hand, foot and mouth? My Ds had them around the bottom area as well when he had that.

Woke up itching like mad this morning so am going to call first thing tomorrow.

Also have a few other odd symptoms- producing milk (2yrs since I stopped feeding) plus I ache all over and feel very tired, have googled away as one does and think it could be a hormone problem due to being on the depo injection.

Rose I don't think so. Dd has had that and was ill with it, plus it doesn't look the same and she hasn't got it on her fingers, only one spot on the back of one hand, plus the bottom (looking a bit better this morning) and one on her face. Also, they seem to be the wrong colour. Thanks though; it's something I hadn't considered before.

Children and spots eh! Normally I panic about my DS's and normally it is just another virus and not a lot you can do about that!

I however never get spots or rashes which is why I am so baffled over this rash.

Spoke to the GP on the phone today and he recommended that I use an anti histamine for the itching, he didn't seem overly worried though so hopefully it will clear up soon

Whoops name changed last night and forgot to change back- rubbish at this whole name business
