funny little rash

evening all - ds has a nasty little spotty rash over his chest - slightly raised tiny spots which fade under pressure and have no 'heads'. He also has three nasty 'headed' spots around his mouth. Been to doc and he says it's not much to worry about but keep an eye.
it could be:

  1. He has started on formula milk this week - could he be allergic or sensitive to it? should I try another brand?
  2. He hasn't been on solids for long and had peas for the first time on tuesday...could it be that I wonder? should I bin the peas or try them again to see if the rash comes back once it has gone so I know for sure
  3. chicken pox is rife in the area at the mo but they don't look like cp spots - at least the chest ones don't
  4. he had his third dtt on monday

Anyone else any experience of this kind of thing? any suggestions??

Could be neuro dermitis (eczema), it often kicks in upon weaning/introduction of solid food. Tips before resorting to steroids would be: Don't bath him so much (once per week with oil in bath - olive oil would do), cotton clothes only, washing powder for sensitive skin, a good baby moisturiser every day. Could be a dribble rash if it's just his chin and the top of his chest.
