I have only just seen this and want to play too, why did not everyone tell me

I am on Franny´s 10 fruit and vege a day but have been wanting to do a detox. I will therefore lag behind you all small but divine.

Tutter · 05/09/2006 12:21

hehehe

am sitting here with a teaspoon and a jar of nutella

that'll be a no from me then

NomDePlume · 05/09/2006 12:28

Seriously tempted by this. I may need to tasle a trip out. It'll cost me a small fortune in fruit and veg though !

Beetroot · 05/09/2006 16:15

yes it did cost me a small ortune but If i count up the wine and all the other rubbish i am sure it is pretty similar.

Am feeling ok..dh is finding it harder!!

NomDePlume · 05/09/2006 16:16

There's no way DH would so much as entertain the idea. TBH, it's not exactly do-able during his working day.

Beetroot · 05/09/2006 16:24

my dh works nearby so he pops home for his food (not usually but during this mad diet!!)

..would love to join in..anyybody recomment a good juicer or is it OK just to blend ??

NomDePlume · 05/09/2006 16:30

I have the Breville/Anthony Worrall Thompson one and it's pretty good despite having his beardy mug plastered all over the box....

Steppy1 · 05/09/2006 16:33

...looks as if there's one going for around £25 on ebay...is that good value for money ?

NomDePlume · 05/09/2006 16:35

It depends on how powerful the motor is etc. One with too week a motor will not be able to cope with more dense raw veg (beetroot, etc). Mine allows you to juice whole fruits (although you do have to peel soft ones like oranges) which saves a lot of prep time.

Beetroot · 05/09/2006 16:37

iequip is hte best one for the price

the first one

OP posts:
Steppy1 · 05/09/2006 16:39

thanks Beetroot, it says it's a whole fruit (and veg) juicer....I'll check out in more detail..Don't want to spend a fortune in case I decide I don't like the juicing thing..but really want to give it a go !

NomDePlume · 05/09/2006 16:42

This is the one I have. Doesn;t look like they sell it any more

Steppy1 · 05/09/2006 17:40

..they've got one on ebay...but there's still 6 days to go !!

Beetroot · 06/09/2006 13:51
