Over anxious about neck lymph node - help

How long do lymph nodes take to settle down? Got a marble-sized one under jaw. No history of colds or tonsilitis, just sore throat from bad acid reflux recently. GP not worried. Has anyone had nodes that come and go?

Quite often jalopy. Sometimes it's not even obvious why mine appear, I don't always have a cold or infection, but after a week or two, they always disappear.

yes I have aswell. I get completely paranoid because it wasthe first sign of my friends leukemia BUT hers kept growing and never subsided.
