ds2 has had a bug now dh has got it - is there anything he can take ?

Ds2 had a nasty bug over the weekend. 24 hours of being sick then a temperature for 2 days after. Just gave him calpol to bring down the temperature. Apart from not getting his appetite back yet (not that he had much of one to start with!)he is now fine.
Dh has come home from work early today as he felt lousy and was sick. Has been sick a couple of times since he came home, but no temperature. Should I give him anything - paracetemol, Ibuprofen ? Have told him to drink lots of water which is what i made ds2 do. Is there anything else I can do ?

Pepto Bismol may help to settle his stomach. I would only give paracetemol/ibuprofen if he was in any kind of pain or had a fever

Apart from that I'd say you're doing right by making sure he has plenty of fluids

Thanks Ladies, dh stopped throwing up at about 1:00am this morning. His stomach is sore but I think he's over the worst. Unfortunately ds1 started throwing up at 3am, so it was a very long night Ds1 seems to be able to hold water down so will let it work its way through him.
