For all you underactive thryoid mums, can I ask you are you happy with the level of thryoxine you are on? Do you feel you are on enough thryoxine to make you feel "normal" or do you still suffer from symptoms of underactive thryoid. I have an underactive thryoid and although my TSH levels are now considered (as a result of thryoxine treatment) to be very good I still feel pretty awful most days. I still suffer from fatigue, dry skin, cold intolerance and some hair loss. My doctor is refusing to increase my dose of thyroxine - I feel I am doomed to a life of misery. I am alone?

What dose are you on?

I was on 175mg and felt awful. I felt it was too high. So having seen my endocrinologist it has been put back to 150 and I feel much better. I was getting palpatations. Feeling lethagic and panicy. General feeling of not being myself.

No your not alone. Not sure I have helped at all. Just that the drs don't always get the dose right. Means you need to go back with another blood test and discuss an new doseage.

Good luck
