I have name changed for this. Due to problems ttc I have been recommended to have an aqua scan or saline hysterography to check things out.
I had never heard of this and asked for further details which make for scary reading frankly.
Has anyone else had this procedure? The information says that I will have a catheter inserted through my cervix and a saline solution injected into my uterus. It warns the procedure may be 'uncomfortable' and I may want it take paracetamol beforehand. They then do an internal ultrasound (which I have had before but without the saline malarkey).
It also says that 'you will be examined on a gynaecological table (what the hell is that?) with your legs in stirrups..' Now I have never had stirrups, ever. Please, somebody come and tell me what I will be letting myself in for. It sounds horrific, but on the other hand I really want to find out what if anything us wring with me. It also doesn't say what happens to the saline solution afterwards, will it just drip out or will they suction it out?? Sorry if tmi.
