Just over three weeks ago I fell while going out my back door, twisted both ankles and couldn't walk. So dp took me to a&e to be x-rayed,I was told that I had a broken right ankle and my left was sprained. I was put in a back slab for a week and had an appointment to go to fracture clinic. I went to the fracture clinic but I'm still unsure what I have done. I was told I had previously in my childhood had broken the ankle but can't remember that nor can my parents lol, he took the cast of and on went an aircast, he said to treat it like a badly sprain ankle and to take the aircast off after two weeks. Which I have done, but its still very sore and so is my other ankle to be honest I don't know what ones worse :0( should I go and see my gp and ask what they think? Physio is a 6 week wait here, should I sort out a private one. Or should I just get on with it!!

If worried, go back to the GP for advice - it's a week since you posted. Breaks/sprains can be very painful for many weeks.

I agree with TheFuzz. I broke an upper arm on 29 April, visit the fracture clinic regularly and am still in pain. Just give it time. You are using your ankles to get about so that would make pain more obvious. My arm is okay if it's resting but not if it's doing something.
