TWICE a week blood tests, not once every 2 weeks. they claim they dont have his discharge letter, but yet harefield faxed it over!!

i am getting sick to death of this, its extra stress chasing everything up. i booked the blood test for today, yet clinic decide he doesnt need it. FFS. I am gtoing to send him back to Harefield soon if they keep stuffing up.

Contact his consultant's office and see if his consultant will write/fax the clinic a strongly worded letter.

My brother had this with his GP after his thyroid cancer. His specialist gave instructions that he needed to be prescribed more than the normal dose of thyroxine (because he'd had his thyroid removed and zapped after thyroid cancer, so apparently they don't just want to bump up thyroxine to normal levels but give a bit extra because that reduces the chances of the cancer returning, or something along those lines) but the GP refused to prescribe anything more than the normal dose. Eventually the specialist sent the GP a real stinker of a letter (it was a real beauty) and he did what he should have done in the first place, i.e. what he was told.

we have called the transplant co-ordinator, but its not one who is familar with peter, so he has said to call our GP and get them to chase the clinic up whilst he gets onto the team there to find out what to do.
