Oven burn in hand - to cover or not?

I burnt my hand on Sunday. It's about an inch long line where I caught it on the oven shelf. The top scab has got knocked & raw skin is exposed. Should I cover with a plaster or leave it to let the air get to it?

I would let the air get to it but be careful with it to minimise dirt and stuff getting in contact, if you find you keep knocking it and it hurts the cover it

Thanks. I have some antiseptic cream that says for minor burns so will put that on it.
