if you are like me and dont test or do test and then come on 7 or 10 days late?

because I seem to have had loads and I wonder if this is just a normal thing

I have had two, both confirmed, but the first one was very early, before 6 weeks, I only ever got a faint +ve and by the time I was bleeding it was -ve again already. I know I have had no others.
I remember reading somewhre that virtually every woman will have at least 1 mc, often without realising it.

Joolstoo · 30/08/2006 20:16

NOne - never even thought about it, if I was late, I was late and that was it!

Gobbledigook · 30/08/2006 20:16

Ok, perhaps not because many of you are describing something different to just a 'late period' and I can't remember if it was different or not.

satine · 30/08/2006 20:19

I've certainly had one, and possibly others when I haven't known I was pregnant. I agree that super early preg tests cn be very upsetting and I think they're a bad idea.

foundintranslation · 30/08/2006 20:20

Interestingly enough both my mc were accompanied by very little pain, even the second one where there had been a sac on ultrasound.

NomDePlume · 30/08/2006 20:22

I've had one late miscarriage/stillbirth and I think I've had one very early m/c (of the late, lumpy period variety).

Gobbledigook · 30/08/2006 20:23

NDP I didn't know that

NomDePlume · 30/08/2006 20:24

Yes, her name was Hollie, I delivered her at 26wks but the docs reckon she made it as far as 24wks. It was 7 years ago, pre-DH.

expatinscotland · 30/08/2006 20:28

i think i've had a least two besides the one i was treated for in hospital for. i was 10 days late a couple of months before conceiving dd1 and a week late the month before conceiving dd2.

Gobbledigook · 30/08/2006 22:09

Oh NDP, so sorry

Sorry for everyone who goes throught this (just relating to NDP in particular cos I 'know' her)

suedonim · 30/08/2006 22:26

I suppose it was ever thus for women but early testing has changed the scene. It's just as well tests were unavailable/unaffordable when I was younger as I'd have bankrupted myself buying them in bulk.

Fio, what do you mean that you're going to get told off? Do you mean by a Dr? (Your post at 7.49pm) Are you okay?
