Dd1 has nits and I have a bottle of neem oil. Can I combine them?

I have been googling this and Neem oil does seem to be used in head lice treatment. One of the sites says this:

Combine 5 tbsp neem oil with 10 tbsp sesame oil, massage into the hair and scalp, comb with a lice comb, leave for at least one hour and shampoo and rinse thoroughly.

You can but Neem is the most foul smelling oil on earth and I would dilute it a lot before letting it anywhere near my DD - I speak from experience, there was an incident with a bottle of Neem oil that slipped !

Thanks both of you. Yes, it does smell pretty bad but I'll do anything to make headlice suffer (spoken like a true animal lover but flies, fleas and headlice are the exceptions!)
