green jelly nappy - very worried

dd 12 months had a normal dirty nappy this am on waking, then a bit later had a nasty greeny jelly slime type stuff in nappy - had nothing to eat or drink between waking and this happening.

then bottle at 8am, shreddies, sandwich, yoghurt and fruit for lunch, bottle moid afternoon and then another green nappy late afternoon.

I put her onto cows milk as a drink 11 days ago - could this be the cause? She also tried yorkshire pud yesterday and had the teeniest bit of double cream on fruit crumble - both new foods. She seems well, no temp and quite happy - big appetite as usual, no sickness.

I go back to work tomorrow and she starts nursery - advice please !!!!!!

i had thought of this yes, but this has never happened before and she has been having cows milk in meals for ages, as it is on cereal, yoghurts, cheese, cream, fromage frais etc. I even make my own yoghurt.

but ....

she only started having it as a main drink 11 days ago

???????

she also was formula fed - i'm assuming this contains lactose?

Hi
ds had green poo and I was told by doctor that it was a sign of either too much or too little food. With him it was too little as he was off food after a tooth getting knocked when he fell.

Diarolite will ease it and don't worry. Kids east when hungry. Parents panic regardless. You are supposed to look at what they have eaten over the course of a week which normally eases worries.
hope this helps

my ds went through a green mucous nappy phase as well (sometimes almost illuminous!!) how ever was breast feeding at the time and they thought he was probably just feeding to much.... otherwise he was fine so i guess if your dd seems otherwise fine then it is not a problem...... i bet if you comment on it at the nursery they will tell you it happens all the time!

yeah probably - was worried about mentioning it to them incase they say she canmt go - but i really dont think its a tummy bug

I know this is probably too late. But my dd had exactly the same and my doctor said it was due to her changing over from breast to bottle, so it might be that you have used two new feeds. They said it was nothing to worry about. Also dd has it again now and she has just started to teeth!!
