Hi there, was just wondering if it's alright to use condoms when pregnant?

Charleesunnysunsun · 28/08/2006 15:14

nailpolish · 28/08/2006 15:14

afaik, its fine

BlueBeetle · 28/08/2006 15:14

Suppose so if you need to for health reasons !

Pennies · 28/08/2006 15:14

I don't see why not. But it begs the question... why bother? Unless there's an STD risk in which case I wouldn't go near with a barge pole just in case.

nailpolish · 28/08/2006 15:15

yes we are all dying to ask "why?" but i suppose its personal

Charleesunnysunsun · 28/08/2006 15:17

You really wanna know????

TBH brutally honest i do becuase i don't like the wet sensation afterwards.

Pennies · 28/08/2006 15:18

ROFL!! I know what you mean!

Bucketsofdinosaurs · 28/08/2006 15:21

Yup, who wants more laundry!
You'll also find them helpful if you're prone to thrush during pregnancy (due to extra heat produced down there making conditions more thrushy.) It means you won't pass it on to your DP (and back and forth like pingpong).

sex is messy, charlee, hun, tbh i find condoms mingin

each to their own!

Charleesunnysunsun · 28/08/2006 15:26

I will however stop using them when im so desperate to get this baby out and am trying all home bringing on labour techniques!

I'm not religious about it if the moment came and we had none i wouldn't say no its just a prefrence if i think about it!

expatinscotland · 28/08/2006 15:27

i HATE condoms.

Charleesunnysunsun · 28/08/2006 15:30

I have no problems with them and it's the only form of contraceptive i can use when not pregnant due to health issues so i guess we just got used to them

PinkTulips · 28/08/2006 15:40

can't believe your dh will put one on when theres no need most men can't stand the lack of sensation and will use any excuse to not use one... hence why ds is so close in age to dd!

Charleesunnysunsun · 28/08/2006 15:41

Lol he doesn't mind as long as he's getting sex at all!

Nah he's really great about thing's like that plus we have a variety all with different sensations ect!

Calmriver · 28/08/2006 16:19

To clear up on a few questions!!!

My husband does not have any STD's, it's just okay-the laundry saving does help, but no, it's because I was just wondering...

I'm sure I haven't got thrush or anything, but twice today just had a quick burning down there, and my DH does have intentions tonight I think. I just don't want to aggravate it if I do have the start up or anything.

I hate condoms too!!!

Ive just never had thrush or anything like that before, so Ive never asked.

Trust me, I will be making use of no contraception for as long as possible.
