HELLO Help I am new to this and my mouth is sore

I had a tooth extracted on monday. I am still in pain. Painkillers are easing it a bit. But the roof of my mouth where my dentist injected is agony. I wear a denture and cannot get it in as its pressing on the tender area. The socket is all white. Should I be worried. Amd how long qill it take for the roof of my mouth to feel better :-(

It will still be sore, especially if it wasn't an easy extraction. Last time I had one out, it was absolute agony and he left the roots in so I just had to have those out at the dental hospital. Ugh. I had to end up getting antibiotics for my tooth extraction though and I nearly overdosed before that as I was taking so many painkillers. Are you using something with codeine in? Think co-codamol and Nurofen plus both have it. That really helped me. They say that if after day 3 the pain is getting worse, go back and book an emergency appt as you may have an infection. Also, buy some corsadol and rinse with it 3-5 times a day.

The socket's white? Can you ring the dentist and ask about that?

It sounds as though you may have dry socket. Please go back to the dentist. Get some clove oil too, really helps with dry socket. Do you smoke? If so, stop for now at least, it increases the pain and increases the likelihood of dry socket following further extractions.

Went back to dentist and got socket packed a d sone antibiotics. The packing came out today. Still sore hooefully antibiotics will kick in soon. Thanks x
