Decent out-of-hours dentist recommendation needed

I started a thread earlier about a dental abscess.

Sorry to start another but I can't get seen at the local dental hospital tonight, though possibly tomorrow evening, so I'm looking for an alternative.

I'm EBFing a newborn so more anxious about possible complications than I might otherwise be.

Can anyone recommend a decent out-of-hours dentist in S/SW/central London?

I'm not a dental professional

But I used to triage for emergency dental services. Are you looking for a private OOH dentist? Because TBH , NHS emergency dentistry is not available 24 hours in the same way the OOH GPs are. And unless you have certain significant symptoms, you are likely to be better off seeing your own dentist on Tuesday.

IIRC you are currently in the middle of a course of treatment and on antibiotics? What sort of treatment are you hoping to access? They might offer to take the tooth out. They are not at all likely to offer a second opinion or any tooth-saving treatment. It is usually a stopgap - eg pain relief, antibiotics if severe/worsening facial swelling extending to the neck/eye and so on.

Privately - you might find someone willing to see you but it would be very expensive.

I hope this is a bit helpful, though it's probably not what you were hoping for.

Thanks so much for replying.

Sorry, yes, I was looking for a private dentist, mainly because I'm not sure what constitutes significant symptoms.

Despite the drilling and drainage and amoxicillin, the swelling on the gum has got bigger. I really just want to know if I should dose up on paracetamol until I can see my usual dentist or if/when I should be more worried. I was hoping to find someone who could at least assess the situation.
