molluscum

we've not had a molluscum thread for a while, have we?
Dd1 (7) has mollusca all over the inside of her left arm and her left torso - she had just a few on her arm last time I had a good look (2 weeks ago maybe) and today I noticed that they're just all over her torso now as well as her arm.
I've googled a bit and the treatments all seem quite radical and not really feasible when there are so many. Also, I think I had molluscum badly as a child and still remember, rather vividly, having them all cut open and dd1 is such a wimp, she really wouldn't be able to cope.
I've not been to the GP with her about it, should I? Or is the policy always to wait and see?

Went to the gp with my ds who has suffered quite badly (some got infected.) He treated the infected ones but cannot do anything for the others. He suggested 'popping' them. We tried and it was just unbearable, ds howled and howled with pain so we won't be doing that agin!
In desperation, I used some calendula tincture a friend recommended - really not believeing it would do much. It has improved an awful lot, but not gone
Someone on here is always recommending manuka honey. No idea why it works, but she swears byit. I haven't tried it as i can;t find a local stockist.

Hi There
Both of my kids (11 and 8) had molloscum. It drove me insane and I thought they would never go. My dds went about age 9 and ds last year. as long as they are not infected I really think they are best left alone and they just fade. Not much help to you right now i know, but at least you know they will go. I found that i was more upset by them than they were.
