I have hypothyroidism and have started on medication. Will I ever loose the 2 stone I put on? Has anyone else been in this situation?

If you are optimally medicated then yes, you should lose at least some of the weight.

However, it is often a struggle to get optimally medicated because of over-reliance on blood test results. This is why hypo people so often complain that although they are doing all the right things but nothing is happening re weight loss.

I have been on levothyroxine since 10 June last year and have now lost 21lbs, without an y real change in my eating habits, although I am now doing more exercise.I could do with losing another 14lbs of the 40+ I put on in the two years before treatment, but at the moment I am happy to be feeling well.
