Should I get him checked out? Wee infection? Diabetes possiblity?

I have noticed over the last 2-3 days when changing or pulling his pants up that ds3 smells down below and I have once spotted a whitish discharge in the front of his pants.

He is 3.7 btw.

I suggest GP

a little whitish gunk can accumulate naturally and may be nothing, but any actual discharge sounds like it might be a wee infection and should be checked out.

it's quite common for boys to get an infection just under the skin - see the dr and get some antibiotic cream

Scoobydooooo · 22/08/2006 14:02

I think it means an infection so i would pop him to the docs for some anti-biotics. Hope he gets better soon x

liath · 22/08/2006 14:02

Might be balanitis - infection of the foreskin, GP should be able to sort it.

BTW - was it your thread a wee while back felling rough & high blood pressure - how are you doing?

QueenEagle · 22/08/2006 14:03

The discharge was there yesterday, haven't really had chance to check for that today but the smell is very strong still.

He is very bad tempered atm so catching anything in one of those bottles will be a laugh a minute.

liath - yes that was me (good memories some of you lot today ) have yet to make an appt to have bp rechecked but still feel completely knackered although glad to say headache has just about gone.

I'd get him checked out. Could be an infection, could be thrush, but if it's smelly it needs looking at.

QueenEagle · 22/08/2006 14:08

I just know that he will not let the doc look down below - he has selective mutism and is cripplingly shy. If he is prescibed anti-b's it will be a waste of time as I have never been able to get them down him.

Will make an appt for him tho.

QE - you have to rub the cream onto the place in question - a little challenge for you

QueenEagle · 22/08/2006 14:11

This will be fun won't it?
