Dd started with a graze on her elbow which has been slow to heal, and went all gungy and weepy. On friday took her to the nurse who dressed it and said it would heal in a few days. Then saturday one of her molloscum warts near her groin expolded into about 20 blister's. I was away for the weekend with hubby as are tenth wedding annirversity, so didn't see her until sunday by which time the sores had spead all round her groin up her belly and down one leg and all the skin on her elbow had come away and was blistered around also other lesion on her knee ! Took her straight to gp out of hours service and he diagnoised a severe skin infection gave her antibiotics and cream and said to bring he back if she started to become unwell or it spread futher. She woke up this morning with new legions under her arm and on her knees, so went back to the gp who said she has severe impetigo and to bring her back again if she becomes worse. So praying it get better over night poor little thing looks

Must be miserable for your dd.

I've used tea tree lotion (Thursday Plantation brand)successfully on impetigo - but I must add that this was only small patches on myself and dds. It was pretty persistant and kept recurring so I googled it - tea tree was what came up as recommended.

Hope she feels better soon - rotten time of year to be ill too

Aw, poor little thing, I had this as a kid - a patch on my top lip after being pushed over and landing on my face.

Not nice.

Sending her a hug x,
