Got my period hurts when I poo

I came on two days ago and am very heavy. I've been for a poo twice today and it really hurts in my stomach, above where the pubic hair is. Doc says could be due to heavy periods but I've never had push like this before. I'm told I have a 'fibrous' wall and doc said maybe they are bigger. I'm really worried x

I get this, have always had it (so does dsis) it can be really intense pain and we jokingly now call it 'period poo pain' but really its not a joke as it hurts a lot!
My dsis has endometriosis and her dr said that is why she gets the pain. I've never been formally diagnosed but symptoms all point towards it.

Might be worth getting a referral to see somebody if it persists

Doc mentioned endo but asked more questions which I have guessed steered away from it. What does it mean to have endo? X

The womb lining grows elsewhere outside of the uterus and can cause pain during periods. If it grows on the bowel I think that is what causes pain when going to the toilet.
Heavy periods are also a symptom.i think it can only be properly diagnosed if the dr actually does a laparoscopy to check for it. My sister has had a few ops to remove the endo tissue and associated cysts on ovaries (chocolate cysts).

Ok thanks, have always had heavy periods but of late I've had ibs symptoms due to medication for ankylosing spondylitis. So I'm feeling a tad fed up! X
