pain on top of foot

Hi everyone,
The internet has failed me on this so I thought I'd ask the experts.
Recently when kneeling the top of my right foot has really hurt. I kneel a lot, like for nappy changing, bathing and dressing my toddler etc. There's a place kind of in the middle of the top of my foot that hurts when i press it and also sends a shooting pain to my fourth toe. If I kneel the whole of the of the top kind of burns.
Any similar experience or advice?

Could be a Mortons Neuroma (it's where a nerve between the Metatarsal Heads , typically 3/4) gets inflammed then forms a sort of fibrous thickening.
Worse on lateral pressure (like wearing some shoes or when putting alot of force - kneeling, bending) on the areas.

Both feet are not symmetrical so you can suffer one side only.
Nerve entrapment can be shooting, lancing, burning, a dull gnawing like a toothache

Can you see a Podiatrist (one who has an interest in Biomechanics to assess and possibly an insole)
Your GP might suggest an steroid injection to relieve the pain (or some people have surgery)
Good Luck.
