sterilisation - pre appointment questions

Hi. I am going to the hospital for my pre-appointment, and to arrange a date for my sterilisation on Tuesday.

I was just wondering what they would be doing at this appointment as my letter does not say. Will I have an internal examination? Also, if I am taking anti-depressants, will they still do the op??

Thanks in advance

It is just to make sure that you are 100% sure about being sterilised, that your reasons are good enough, they will also explain exactly what they do in the op, there are no medical examinations.

They will also give you a bunch a leaflets on other types of contraception, and tell you you can change your mind at any time.
