Me and dp had sex on tuesday night and we were both a bit drunk and didn't use anything.

I wasn't bothered at the time as have always wanted a 3rd child. Now i thuoght about it though I have decided it's really a bad idea for many reasons, and i'm not as sturck on the idea as I was.

I can't get a doctors appointment until tommorow, will it be too late for the MAP then ??

The MAP is marketed as being effective if taken within 72 hours of intercourse. The sooner you take it the more effective it is supposed to be. I took MAP within 16hrs, when it supposed to be most effective, but still got pregnant. I asked GP, midwife and consultant "why didn't it work?" and they all just said "it's not 100% effective even if taken within 24hrs". Am now the very happy mum of a 3yr old - and sooooo glad that MAP failed!
