Period is over a week late but (hopefully) not pregnant

I've been expecting it since last wed. I think the cycle before was slightly longer than usual too but can't remember exact dates.

Have done 2 tests, one with first morning urine and both negative. I don't 'feel' pregnant

Have 2 dc-youngest 2, have had regular periods since he turned 1. With both I got clear positives on first day of expected period and felt pregnant before testing both times.

We use condoms and can't recall any failure this month.

Have not felt especially stressed, am not drastically over it underweight but have lost a few pounds and have increased my exercise in the last month.

Any idea where the hell my period it?!

How 'normal' is this? Should I make a gp appointment?

It's still not arrived.

The main causes of missing periods are pregnancy, perimenopause or Thyroid problems. The latter occurs with both over and underactive Thyroid glands.
Or it could just be a blip in your hormones this month?
Hope you get some answers soon.

How old are you?

It could be the start of the perimenopause, or just one of those weird cycles that our bodies throw at us sometimes.

I'm only 32-no family history of early menopause or thyroid issues.
I'm really hoping its just an odd cycle-pregnancy would be far from ideal timing.

Just done a clear blue test -not pregnant.
I think that's put my mind at rest for now but am going to make a dr's appointment (to discuss better contraception if nothing else )

Just to update-it's finally arrived 4 weeks late! So looks like just one of those strange things.

Oh, good! Now you can relax, but certainly unusual.
