Just got one and have been trying it out for the last couple of days. Very impressed.

sassy - are you inserting it wet?

Adorabelle · 18/08/2006 20:50

I received my Mooncup in the 1st post this morning.

I was extemely excited & went about trying out
it out immediately.

Was quite daunting looking at it & thinking 'Bloody hell that's alot bigger than a tampon!' But then realised that's where a baby also comes from too....

Tested it out (even though not got period!), walked around with it in for 10 minutes & MY God are they a bit FAB or what?

Great Adorabelle! What size did you go for in the end?

Suddenly remembered that I never got back with a sea pearl link, but spotted it has been done.

A review is here

do they work for really heavy periods? I usually go through a pack of 16 extra super plus lilets in about a day on first day of af, then another pack over the rest of af. Thanks

bluesky · 23/08/2006 17:52

it's the getting them out that worries me, sounds so fiddly!

2plus2plus1 · 23/08/2006 19:18

What I want to know is how do you deal with 'refreshing' them in a public toilet - Not that you will ever convert me (at least I don't think so)

2plus2plus1 · 23/08/2006 19:18

Can't believe I just posted on a mooncup thread...

dazzlincaz · 23/08/2006 20:20

Cece - yes, they do work if you have really heavy periods. Definitely worth trying out. Has saved me a mint - I was using mostly Lillets super plus extra and wearing night time pads - together!! Even then, very frequent changes and constant vigilance .

Also a big plus is that is seems to help alleviate pain/cramping. Happy experimenting!

I was nervous too WWW. And the first couple of times in and out is a bit weird. But then you just get used to it. Of course it helps if you are determined to give it a go
