Second teeth coming through behind first teeth -anyone had experience of this?

DD is 6.9 and hasn't lost any baby teeth yet.

However this week she has a wobbly front bottom tooth (much to her delight as shes been longing to lose her first one!) but you can clearly see the adult tooth coming through quite a way behind it.

I'm hoping it will correct itself in time when the baby tooth comes out -is this the case? She isn't due to go to the dentist again until Dec -do I need to get her checked out before then?

TIA

DS2 is 6.10 and has just lost his bottom two teeth.He already had the new ones there behind!
I don't think it will be a problem.
I saw someone the other day (adult)who had 4 bottom teeth.

It is very common and nothing to worry about. Very rarely the babt tooth fails to come out and needs to be extracted, but generally it will fall out by itself and as the adult one comes through further it will move into the correct place.

babt = baby obviously.

ds has lost 6 teeth so far and all have done this. All but the top one which is still only part through (lost 2 weeks ago) have moved forward to fill the gap as they have come through after the baby tooth came out.

COV -thanks for that, reassuring to hear that (especially from you).

Thank you tortoise -I bet it took a while to get used to your DS2s new look! I can't imagine DD without teeth.

The one is very wobbly at the moment and will be out soon I'm sure (DD can't stopp fiddling with it) so hopefully no need for extraction.
