Meningitis vaccine to be available on NHS....what if we want it now?

Good news, a vaccine will be made available on the NHS. My DD is 7 months, and I'd rather like it now thankyou very much. And wonder if DS aged 6 could too. Does anyone know how to get it done privately? Or if it only works if given early on?

There are many private clinics offering it. e.g.:

AFAIK it is licensed for children of all ages, but unless the plans change, you probably won't be offered it when it is introduced.

Looks like it will be going on nhs but only to babies that are between 2 and 4 months when it becomes available. So far there are no plans fir a catch upbprogramme for older babies which i think is awful.
I'm having Dd and ds done privately next week. Nhs will only do what's 'cost effective' and I'd rather know I'd done my all to prevent it, even if it means paying for them privately.
