Steroid injections for degenerative arthritis in the spine. Anyone got experience of these?

My mother is suffering from this spine problem that causes her pain nearly every day.

She has been offered steroid injections but has a problem with needles. Has anyone had these injections. Do they work. Are they painful?

Not everyone has the same experience as me.

I think steroid injections are the best thing ever invented.

In 24 hours I can go from unable to walk / stand / sit to being fairly mobile.

They do not work for everyone, but they do for me.
