A whole cherry (inc stalks I think), well at least one or two - could be more. He's just today learned to open doors.

He's 21 months - can someone just reassure me I'm not being too laid back by just thinking it'll come out the other end with no problem!

im sure it'll come out nothing much you can do anyway... they arent that sharp. Ring NHS direct maybe if your concerned?

I am sure it will come out the other end. If he is in no pain and Ok in himself I'd leave it but as QP says if you are in any doubt ring NHS direct.

Nice poohs to come then ;)

The fact you haven't both said that I'm an idiot and should have taken him to casulty is making me feel better thanks

DD (16mths) has also eaten a whole cherry. I think as long as they don't choke, there isn't really a problem.
She also likes whole strawberries- stalk and all!

Joceybean · 13/08/2006 18:10

If I dont watch my dd, she eats whole apple including core and pips. I think so long as it has been swallowed in to the stomach, should not be a problem.

Thanks! He's off to bed now withno apparent adverse effects. I'll wait for the nappies (just found another stalk!)
