I am 12 weeks pg and this afternoon have developed what can only be described as a fluttering feeling in or around my urethra. It's definately not vaginal, nor is it sexually stimulated, ie clitoral. It actually feels like I have a small fly trapped . I don't! I have changed pants and had a wash. It still comes and goes. It doesn't hurt but feels freaky.

The only other way I can describe it is, is to say it feels like that tickly fluttery feeling you get in your chest if you need to cough. Anyone know what this could be? Most disconcerting.

PoorlyPants · 13/08/2006 16:00

I don't know! It really feels like Something moving as opposed to me reacting to something. urghhhh!

couldbe as your uterus is increasing in size the other organ in pelvis are begining to shift to make room. are you needing the loo more, may be the start of a urinary infection hth

Have you had your scan yet?

PoorlyPants · 13/08/2006 16:26

had scan at what we thought was almost 11 weeks, but they put me back so was only 9+5 at the time. Have been having cystitis type feelings when not drinking enough, but this "fly" feeling is different.

pp believe me its more amazing from 5mths plus whewn all of a sudden you explode

liquidclocks · 13/08/2006 17:12

Agree with Nemo - you've had your scan and know baby is just fine. They start growing rapidly about now and it's probably baby/womb related. You'll probably see your midwife again soon so just mention it to her to be reassured.

There's so many weird sensations you've yet to experience - it's fun really!

Thank you everyone. Weird feeling has gone again now after a little afternoon nap!!! It is really disconcerting to get new feelings!!!
