Endomorph/Ectomorph/Mesomorph?

Are these still valid categories (well, points on a sliding scale, no doubt)? What do they mean? How can you tell which one you are? Do they make a difference to what is the best exercise for you?

Hmm, I must be somewhere between Mesomorph and Endomorph. I have big hips, but respectable shoulders. I do muscle up reasonably well, and am fairly energetic (ok, addicted to exercise atm).
