Chickenpox - can I pop to shops?

I suspect that ds 7 months has chickenpox as he has lots of spots developing over his torso and back. He doesn't seems unwell at all.

The thing is, I really need to nip down to the high street. Should I take him out or is it not advised in case it spreads to other people?

Took ds to the doc's yesterday cos he was getting more spotty. It wasn't chickenpox after all - it's papular dermatitis which apparently is a variation on his eczema.

So I've worried about chickenpox for no reason, but still annoyed that his eczema is seemingly out of control, but that's another thread...

celandine, so it wasn't chickenpox after all!! Well, at least you know now what it is ... does he have to have yet more cream for that? I hope by now he's a bit better.
My dd is pretty much recovered now - she's still very spotty but because they're all dried up she's going back to nursery tomorrow. Bless her, her hair looks like a birds nest - I daren't wash it yet because her scalp is covered in spots and she cries when I try to brush it. She still has absolutely no appetite but I presume that will graqdually return as we get back into the normal routine.
Futurity, how is your ds now? Have you found lots of things to do this week?
